Meet Audrey Ramos, PhD

Dr. Audrey Ramos is the founder of Crestpoint Psych Services. With a strong foundation in trauma-informed care and support for complex diagnoses, she combines clinical expertise with real-world experience to provide compassionate, individualized services for adults seeking clarity, healing, and growth. Dr. Ramos is a Clinical Psychologist Candidate, specializing in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, trauma, and complex concerns in adults. Her work is focused on helping individuals move beyond patterns that no longer serve them—so they can live with greater clarity, stability, and authenticity. Many of the clients she works with are high-functioning, capable, and outwardly composed, yet internally exhausted by chronic stress, anxiety, or unresolved experiences. They are not looking for surface-level reassurance; they are seeking a space where they can be fully seen, understood, and supported in doing meaningful work. Dr. Ramos provides a structured, thoughtful therapeutic environment that allows for both exploration and forward movement. Her approach balances depth with practicality—creating room to process what has been carried while also building skills that support real-world change. Dr. Ramos draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), psychodynamic principles, and more. Treatment is collaborative, intentional, and tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and capacity. At the core of her work is the belief that therapy should be grounded, respectful, and effective—supporting clients not only in understanding themselves, but in moving forward with confidence and purpose.
About Dr. Audrey Ramos
Dr. Audrey Ramos is dedicated to helping individuals navigate trauma, stress, and complex life experiences with compassion, clarity, and clinical expertise. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021 and completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Walden University in 2025.
Before beginning her career in mental health, Dr. Ramos served for many years in law enforcement before medically retiring in 2017. That experience continues to inform her deep understanding of high-stress occupations and the psychological toll they can take. She has also served as a volunteer Victim Advocate, further strengthening her commitment to trauma-informed, culturally competent care.
Dr. Ramos specializes in trauma recovery, EMDR, and therapy with first responders and adults seeking diagnostic clarity or therapeutic support. She is trained in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), among others. Her clinical expertise extends to suicide prevention, resiliency training, peer support, and crisis intervention.
At Crestpoint Psych Services, her approach is evidence-based, strengths-focused, and tailored to each individual's goals and experiences. Her mission is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to heal and grow.
Dr. Ramos views her work as a continuation of service, carrying forward the same dedication she held in law enforcement into the field of psychology. She is passionate about supporting individuals in reclaiming their sense of identity, strength, and purpose after experiencing trauma or adversity.
When she is not working, Dr. Ramos enjoys time with her husband, children, pets, traveling, exploring nature, reading, watching true crime and horror films, and discovering new food. She also remains committed to community service through volunteerism and mental health advocacy.
Guiding Principles
Dr. Ramos's work is guided by a commitment to clarity, psychological safety, accountability, and humanity. She believes therapy should bring understanding and direction—not confusion—so clients can make informed, intentional changes in their lives. She is equally committed to creating a psychologically safe space where honesty is possible without fear of judgment or pressure, allowing meaningful work to unfold at an appropriate pace. Insight alone is not enough; therapy must translate into responsibility, follow-through, and measurable growth. At the same time, Dr. Ramos approaches this work with humanity—recognizing complexity, imperfection, and the reality that healing does not require constant seriousness or performance. Together, these principles shape a therapeutic process that is structured, respectful, and deeply grounded in real-world application.
Clarity
Therapy should bring understanding and direction so change is intentional, not reactive.
Psychological Safety
A structured, confidential space allows honesty and growth without fear or pressure.
Accountability
Insight matters only when it leads to responsibility, follow-through, and real change.
Humanity
Therapy honors complexity and imperfection without requiring performance or perfection.
